M-Matisse SPK files =========================================================================== This ``aareadme.txt'' file describes the contents of the kernels/spk directory of the M-Matisse SPICE Kernel Dataset. It was last modified on March 27, 2024 by Alfredo Escalante Lopez, ESAC/ESA. DISCLAIMER: Not all SPKs provided in this directory are described. This is due to the fact that the information is not available to the ESA SPICE Service. Brief Summary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This directory contains the SPICE SP-Kernel files for the M-Matisse mission, including mission analysis, nominal and operational spacecraft trajectory SPKs, generic planetary and satellite ephemeris SPKs. File naming conventions ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is no agreed naming Scheme for M-Matisse spacecraft SPKs. Current SPK Kernels Set ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- mmatisse_SC_DESCR_YYMMDD_YYMMDD_vNN.bsp SPICE SPK file that contains M-Matisse spacecraft trajectory covering from launch to arrival to Mars for the following scenario. Where: SC - henri - marguerite DESC a brief description of the scope of study of the scenario (optional); - Orbiter: either Henri or Marguerite - Launch year: 2036/2037 (nominal launch period) or 2038/2039 (backup launch period) - Transfer type: direct Earth-to-Mars transfer (short T2 or long T4 transfer), or with an intermediate Earth flyby, Earth-Earth-Mars (EEM) transfer - Launch day: from 1 to 21, LD1 = LPO, LD21 = LPC - Configuration: either father-daughter configuration (FDC) or dual-launch configuration (FDC) - Initial parking orbit (IPO): for a given post-MOI inclination of 60 degrees, there are two hyperbola solutions (IPO1 and IPO2). YYMMDD coverage start and stop times in TDB (required); NN SPK version number -- 2 digits (required). de432s.bsp SPICE SPK file containing JPL planetary ephemerides version DE432, created by NAIF, JPL. mar097_YYYYMMDD_YYYYMMDD.bsp SPICE SPK file containing JPL Martian satellite ephemerides version MAR097. Created by NAIF, JPL. estrack_vNN.bsp SPICE SPK file that defines the position for each of the ESA ESTRACK ground stations, as seen from the center of the Earth, in the topocentric frame defined in the corresponding ESTRACK FK.
